Let’s be honest. Most of us grew up thinking soft meant synthetic. Hotels draped in wrinkle-free sheets, towels that looked plush but felt oddly squeaky, and bed linen that promised luxury but trapped more heat than comfort.

We were no different. Our family business revolved around manufacturing and supplying bed and hospitality linen made with synthetic fibres. It was fast, efficient and met global demand. But behind the convenience, something felt off.

The Shift That Started It All

We’re siblings, Rishabh and Ria, and textiles have always been a part of our lives. But as we became more aware of the environmental impact of conventional production, we began questioning how we could do better.

While studying at the University of Cambridge, Ria brought these questions to the forefront. At the Lucy Cavendish College Female Founder’s Business Challenge, she pitched a new vision: one where traditional craft and regenerative materials could lead the future of home textiles. Arth Linen received a £10,000 pre-seed grant from the university. That support planted the seed of something deeply meaningful.

A Transformation Rooted in Responsibility

Arth Linen was born from a desire to reimagine an industry that often prioritises speed over soul. We’re not turning our backs on our roots; we’re transforming them.

We understand the role we play in encouraging conscious consumption and creating meaningful climate action through the choices we make. That’s why we started working with natural fabrics like bamboo and hemp, and leaned into hand block printing, one of India’s oldest and most revered crafts. This is a reclamation of a gentler past and a better way forward.

Why Bamboo and Hemp?

Because they are better for your skin, and the planet.

• Bamboo is naturally soft, breathable, hypoallergenic and requires no pesticides
• Hemp is strong, antibacterial, and grows with very little water or intervention
• Both are fully biodegradable and leave no harmful trace

Pair them with low-impact, organic dyes and block printing, and you get a sheet that supports you, your artisans, and the Earth.

Crafted in Jaipur, With Purpose

We’re located in London and India, but we are rooted in our hometown of Jaipur, Rajasthan, Arth Linen is a celebration of Indian textile heritage. Our products are made to order, hand printed by skilled artisans, many of whom are women we’ve trained and now work closely with. Each bedsheet is made slowly, intentionally, and beautifully. No two are ever alike.
